Abstract
We offer some guidelines for the teaching of French texts at school (average, high-school pupils). We focus on three levels: 1.the emotive component and its linguistic expressions (lexicon, metaphores, direct speech, indexicals...); 2.the argumentation of emotions (reasonable involvement based on the knowledge of the cultural and historical context); 3.some remarks on reader's personal involvement. We display our methodology in analysing some passages from some contemporary French novels.
