Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] THE STRIP TILLAGE has proved to be an efficient technique for the production of grain maize, resulting in quantitative and qualitative production very similar to traditional soil plowing. However, rainy springs and heavy soils can negatively influence the results, increasing the risk of production losses. The environmental and economic efficiency of the technique increases with localized fertilization during sowing (starter). Good results are also obtained with the partial replacement of mineral fertilizer with livestock effluents.
