Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] December 26, 2004 will be remembered for a natural disaster of considerable proportions: the tsunami that hit some countries in Southeast Asia. The event had a strong media response and mobilized attention and resources all over the world, calling for debates on the problem of environmental crisis management. The research object of the volume, realized as part of a project supported by the European Union, used questionnaires, interviews and sample surveys, and involved some regions of Spain, France and Italy at hydrogeological risk, with the objective to improve citizens' knowledge of the natural risks to which they are potentially exposed and to activate transnational cooperation.
