Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay deals with the problems underlying the interpretation of Dante's Eclogues with particular reference to the historical allusions present both in the part of Giovanni del Virgilio, the Bolognese master, and in Dante's part. It is specifically reflected on the interpretation of the mysterious figure of Polyphemus.
