This book not only explores the fourteen centuries of history of the Arab peoples, identifying the significant events that have seen them as protagonists, but also addresses the current events of the "revolutions" and "post-revolutions" still in progress, until the advent of ISIS. In contrast to the aforementioned immobility, a historical, political and religious complexity emerges that the text makes clear by pursuing an interdisciplinary objective, considering the close relationship between the Arab world and the Islamic religion, but also between colonialism and orientalism, nationalism and political Islam.
