[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume is the critical edition of an unpublished work by Franco Ciliberti, a rationalist theosophist, one of the protagonists of the abstractionism season of the 1930s. The critical edition of the work is made on the basis of a series of manuscripts and manuscripts found in the Documentary Fund of the Como Library, which constitute the transcription of some conferences he held in the 1930s between Milan and Como. In this work Ciliberti expresses the concept of ideal at the base of his thought, which is composed of different souls: from the "magic" idealism of Novalis and romantic thought, to the tradition of the Comacine masters and of Antonio Sant'Elia, whose legacy he sees in the contemporary rationalist architecture of Giuseppe Terragni and Cesare Cattaneo.
