Stili partecipativi emergenti nel volontariato giovanile

[Autom. eng. transl.] Youth volunteering emerges from recent sociological surveys as a specific form of solidarity action, which can identify the distinctive features, the new methods of "affiliation" that connect individuals to organizations and what results from this process in society. To fully understand this phenomenon, it is essential to outline the paths of civic and solidarity participation that characterize it, moving on the level of individual motivations, on the behavioral, on the informal, on the group, on the organizational, on the social, as the content contributions clarify in this issue of the magazine. Particular attention is paid to the innovative potential that participatory styles acted by young volunteers present, both with respect to organizational functioning and with regard to the response to social need. The relational, cultural and structural resources that young volunteers have at their disposal and the role played by intergenerational transmission in the conservation and regeneration of ethical-solidarity heritage are also discussed. The cognitive framework that emerges with reference to youth volunteering finds a current synthesis in the concept of social capital and in the strategic role played by multi-participation in its realization.
