[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume by Sabrina Ballestracci is intended as a tool for textual analysis, in particular the stylistic analysis of texts in German offered in a comparative perspective with Italian. It is therefore addressed to Italian-speaking Germanic students, providing a wide range of authentic writings belonging to different textual genres. The starting point for the volume is given by the current reflection on problems related to language learning and language teaching. The first part is a theoretical introduction based on different approaches; this - simplified compared to the reference models - is offered through notions derived from disciplines such as linguistics, rhetoric, literary stylistics, cognitive and pragmatic psychology. Subject of the second part is the analytical reflection on two main types of text, literary and scientific-argumentative. Proposing itself as a tool for the analysis of authentic texts, and therefore qualified by the "language in use", the volume offers an analysis of the linguistic variations that can be found in the different textual forms.
