Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution proposes a profile of the Brescia book production of the seventeenth century, with particular regard to the relationships between the local authors (personal or institutional) and the printing presses active in the city from time to time. Overall, the panorama tends to get impoverished during the seventeenth century, with a significant reduction in the number of protagonists. In the face of this, however, the publishing of the last part of the century prepares the important publications that will see the light in the eighteenth century.
