Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Within the dynamic modern business context, sustainability is taking on an increasingly crucial role. Nowadays, companies are encouraged to innovate their products and processes through cutting-edge methods and solutions. This commitment is not limited exclusively to mitigating the negative impact on the surrounding natural environment, but extends to the concept of restoration and regeneration. At the same time, a marked stimulus emerges towards active social responsibility on the part of companies. This evolution reflects a paradigm shift in the business approach, in which product and process innovation is no longer oriented towards improving economic performance, but is directed towards achieving positive results at an environmental and social level. In light of the growing importance of social and environmental innovations in the corporate landscape, the research project intends to investigate the organizational conditions that constitute the fertile ground for the development of such innovations. Through empirical research, the dynamics influencing this phenomenon were examined, drawing on a combination of detailed dialogues with sustainability managers and other key players in the innovation process, together with responses collected through the administration of a questionnaire.
