[Autom. eng. transl.] Adolescence is that period of life in which the impulse to freedom and experimentation is a fundamental ingredient for the formation of an individual and social identity. And also that period where the greatest evolutionary and emotional changes and upheavals take place. From this premise was born the Selfie project, an investigation that involved pupils of 1st and 2nd grade secondary school, with the aim of giving teachers, parents, educators and young people the same concrete ideas to know the behaviors of teenagers today and to help them tomorrow. The questionnaire, about 60 questions administered in 16 Italian provinces to a total of 55,000 children, provides information never collected before on the youth universe, identifying the risk factors and enhancing those of protection with prevention courses. Aware of the great potential that the new generations bring with them, we must, as Giorgio Ceriani Sebregondi, one of the fathers of Italian sociology, said, "continue to seek in order to continue to understand", so as to offer all adolescents equal development goals, without endanger their future.
