Abstract

The chapter highlights the philosophical-legal concept of "society". The explanation of the theoretical pair "natural society- artificial society" allows to deepen any fundamental relations (in particular: "society-community-law" and "society-anarchy-law") as well as the role of the mass society in order to set up the political-institutional dimension and the legal sphere. In this perspective the ancient brocard "ubi societas ibi ius, ubi ius ibi societas" should be discussed and criticized.
