Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The project ‘Social, environmental sustainability, Generation Z’, the result of the collaboration between the Chair of Pedagogy and training for ecological transition of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the Alta Scuola per l'Ambiente and Silea Spa aims to explore the opinions and feelings of Gen Z regarding the problems of environmental sustainability and the willingness to act through social communication. Generation Z questioned through the administration of a semi-structured questionnaire confirms that sustainability is a present and relevant theme on social media, however, despite the literature highlighting a massive exposure of young people on social media, the interviewees declare that they do not want to carry out dissemination actions themselves. It emerges that the protagonism of young people must be sought by designing targeted training actions, capable of actively involving them as a generation that can contribute to the success of the ecological transition.
