Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The text aims to deal with the world of ICT in all its facets: from a broad study of the individual IT and network technologies to the description and classification of the business models of digital market operators. Not neglecting the analysis of the ethical and social impact of development models and the interpretation of the main current trends. Among the topics covered: technologies at the service of information systems, electronic commerce, mobile computing and business models, cloud computing, security of information systems, computer crimes and ethical aspects. In writing this book, the authors set themselves the goal of making students understand not only how information systems work and how they are used in companies, but also the importance they have for individuals, organizations and for the society.
