Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Based on the most recent academic research results, the work provides the basic contents of management control in a contemporary, modern and classical way. Modern as it combines traditional control over results with both control over actions and organizational and cultural control. Classic since the focus remains anchored to the more traditional theme of the measurements that are the basis of the controls on financial results, that is to say the measurements that act by influencing, motivating and encouraging the members of the organization to adopt behaviors in line with its objectives. The topics covered are supported by some interesting Italian and international case studies, referring to both profit-making organizations and non-profit organizations, listed and non-listed companies.
