Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This contribution takes into account the practical experience in the field of pronunciation education of adult learners of Italian mother tongue, whereby the phonetic and phonological characteristics of the source and target languages (German and Italian) and the interim language (the German of the Italians) of this specific learner group are theoretical and empirical basis. It is to be examined to what extent the native speaker's speech attempts of adult Italian learners of German can be used under various conditions, such as the simulation of emotional speech, in the context of pronunciation training. In doing so, experimental data on the phonetic characteristics of simulated emotional speech by these German learners are examined in the context of the specific aspects of their interlanguage. One can hypothesize that the knowledge of the difficulties of Italian learners of German in phonetics acquisition and the phonetic characteristics of their utterances in the L2 pronunciation training can be combined to eliminate the communication-disturbing foreign accent.
