Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The encyclopedic voice presents the biographical profile of Silvio Spaventa Filippi, whose work was particularly distinguished in the field of journalism for children as the first and most long-lived director of the "Corriere dei Piccoli" (from 1908 to 1931). His international cultural background allowed him to give life to the editorial plan of the magazine with a specific focus on foreign children's literature, towards comics. He gave life to a school of "figurinai" and of local writers who established themselves right in the pages of the famous magazine. He also had the merit of translating important foreign authors by making them known to the Italian public.
