An interesting sector in which there is further room for further study, in light of the contribution of Service Dominat Logic, is retail, one of the largest and most diversified areas globally, which has been experiencing unprecedented changes in recent years. The implementation of Service Innovation strategies and mechanisms in this context is an interesting opportunity for retailers to seize, to defend and improve their competitive advantage in a historical moment in which great transformations are taking place in the market driven by digitization, by the appearance of new competitors and changes in consumer habits.
The paper aims to investigate how Service Innovation impacts the service ecosystem, intended as a complex network of actors who integrate resources and exchange services for the co-creation of value, in the retail sector, through the study of what is happening. within a leading DIY company.
The research also aims to outline possible responses that this sector can adopt, given the new trends and market needs, in terms of service, as a lever to compete on the market.
