Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In educational services, foreign parents are welcomed but rarely hired as interlocutors with whom to activate critical re-reading practices of infant-toddler centers and preschools. How to grasp the multicultural representation of childhood through the voice of foreign parents? How to support foreign parents in becoming spokespersons for reflections and participatory practices in services? These are the generative questions of the mixed-method research that is illustrated in the contribution. Through focus groups and in-depth interviews, the thoughts of some foreign mothers with children aged 0-6 were collected. The topics of the discussion were: the conception of a 0-6 child, the idea of education and the role of the adult, community life in childcare services, the participation of families.
