Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The unpublished manuscript by Federico Borromeo entitled Semina rerum, Sive de Philosophia christiana, is published in this volume, accompanied by an exhaustive apparatus of notes. In the introduction the manuscript is described, in the context of the complex of Federician papers preserved at the Ambrosian Library in Milan, and the fundamental themes that go through Cardinal Federico's reflection on society and his government are described.
