During the XVIII century, many books about Numismatics were published in Venice, probably becouse in the period from the end of the thirties to the fifties in particular, Numismatics came to be considered a kind of erudite hobby among intellectuals. In this field, the most important editions were printed by the printer and bookseller Giovanni Battista Pasquali, but there was no specific editorial project. Rather it is possible to identify a specific cultural stream of a group of scholars, connected by friendship and shared passion for Numismatics.
