Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay examines in its development the theoretical-critical reflection of Pallavicino from the "Del bene" dialogue, published in 1644, up until the last writings of the 1960s. In particular, we focus on the "Treatise on Style and Dialogue", whose three editions (1646, 1647, 1662), compared for the first time, bring out the progressive shift of the author towards aesthetic and stylistic positions addressed to to submit rhetorical resources to the need for cognitive clarity typical of a modern scientific prose.
