Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution exposes the differences between the hunger strike and the refusal of health treatments pursuant to law n. no. 219/2017, highlighting the motivations oriented towards the protection of life (safeguard that has always been relied upon also with regard to the will of the attempted suicide), as a prerequisite, among other things, of the possibility of a free expression of persistent thought over time .
