Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The theme of the relationship between science and Power lends itself to many readings. The perspective here proposal concerns science as power in its relations with the powers of the State, in particular the legislative and government institutions. Science, politics and law entered variously in relationship from the start of the business science and the modern state. Knowledge and practices political-juridical have long looked at science as an ideal methodology for improvement certainty and objectivity, and decrease subjectivity and spaces of discretion (1). But today's situation is went well beyond the methodological model. In societies based on knowledge, science, law and policy — term with which it is usually used reference to the processes of determining the public choices — are increasingly interdependent in mutual construction and legitimation of the rules. Knowledge-based societies they are societies in which knowledge is a fundamental part of the processes of legitimation of the rules who organize associated life.
