Abstract

The volume, the sixteenth of the serie "Canon of European Drama", proposes the Alfieri's Saul text (the critic edition published in the National Opera Edition) with two original critical essays one on the genesis, the history and the analysis of the dramatic text (pp. 87-167 ), one on the reception of the Alfieri's work on the scene and in the cultural tradition (267- 298)
