Sapere sociale, cinema e produzione di nuovi immaginari

[Autom. eng. transl.] Italian cinema has contributed decisively to the construction of the collective memory of the country and its social imaginary. Around this crucial question, the essay tries to illuminate the complex relationship that is established between the experience of cinematographic fruition and memory and the collective imagination, drawing on the categories of the sociology of memory and embracing a decidedly circumstantial approach. Furthermore, the essay tries to trace a periodization starting from the different modes of circulation of the cinematographic imaginary and in the light of its different ability to enter and give body to the memories and social knowledge of the country.
