Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] History of the first medieval female monastery in the diocese of Vercelli, founded in the mid-twelfth century by a family of "cives" of the city, which after the first successful years had a difficult life, so much so that in 1198 it was united, by decision of Bishop Alberto of Vercelli, to the monastery of Santo Stefano, of which it remained a priority dependence for centuries.
