Abstract
This is a very brief commemoration of Sandra Day O’Connor. After a short biographical notice, some salient features of her jurisprudence are highlighted through her own essays and opinions. O’Connor’s call for judicial humility may seem out of touch with the views currently prevailing at the Supreme Court, but it retains its relevance, e.g. as a warning about the deep underlying risks of judicial imperialism and politicisation.
