Since the Ottawa Declaration of 1986, health promotion is the process that puts in place able people to increase control over their health and improve it. For achieve a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, an individual o a group must be able to identify and realize its aspirations, to satisfy one's needs, to change the surrounding environment or to cope with it. Health is therefore seen as a resource for daily life, it is not the goal of living. Health is a positive concept that enhances personal and social resources, as well as physical capabilities. So health promotion is not one exclusive responsibility of the healthcare sector, but it goes beyond lifestyles and aims to well-being (Ottawa Charter, 1986). Health education means making people aware of the consequences of behaviors that influence health. In In this context the concept of health must be understood no longer in a limited and passive way (health equals simple absence of disease) but in an active sense (not only absence of disease but also conscious process of enrichment and of enhancing the person through lifestyles that focus on self-care and your well-being).
