Abstract
Analysis of the few allusions to Octavianus in Sallust's works; the historian was not a supporter neither of Mark Antony nor of Octavianus; instead he was an admirer of Caesar, but disagreed with his decision to choose a relative - and not one of his friends - as his heir.
