Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume examines the figure of Roger Bacon, a Franciscan from Oxford. Some consider him the founder of the experimental scientific method, which will be the basis of the scientific revolution of the modern age; in reality, Bacon considered science and technology instruments for the elevation of man: knowledge at the service of theology and ethics.
