Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This work is in search of the speculative weight that moral philosophy occupies in Rosminian thought. Generally conceived as an appendix, inserted more often for completeness of the system than for real theoretical implication, moral philosophy assumes instead in Rosmini, a fundamental importance. For the philosopher, in fact, ethics cannot simply be a layer that covers the ontological plane. Yet the Rosminian system is not limited to an exercise in rewriting ontology in ethical terms: the "moral" manifests itself as a form of being before coming to word in ethics, so that this, once written, seems capable of to tell the same fate of metaphysics.
