Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter presents some results of a PRIN research carried out in 5 Italian cities in the north and south of Italy (Turin, Milan, Bergamo, Bari, Salerno), relating to school choices and life plans for adolescents in Italy. In particular, the essay focuses on the analysis of cultural resources transmitted from the family to the children, on the possibility that they translate into chances for choices and projects, on the typical paths that lead to the decrease or increase of family cultural resources.
