Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] For the past thirty years, the most careful diagnosis of modernity has been linked by the observation of the generalized increase in perception of risk by citizens. The fundamental characteristic of the risk society is the fact that the dangers from which people feel threatened are the product of the way modern societies function and therefore for their inhabitants it has gradually become clear that protecting themselves from them is very difficult, it requires resourcefulness and ability to organize. The 2008 crisis was a paradigmatic example which confirmed the close link between the advantages brought by modernization and the difficulties in controlling its effects. Over the ten years that have separated us from that crisis, new practices have emerged and consolidated which have shown people's ability to react and to seek new creative ways to deal with the generalized situation of vulnerability. In this chapter we present four cases that appear to us as creative attempts to face and respond to some of the risks that people perceive today as more threatening for their overall well-being and that concern a central area of daily life, that of nutrition. The analysis will focus on the networks of Wwoof and GenuinoClandestino, the digital platform Gnammo and a Milanese Gas (Group of joint purchasing) with a particular identity. We will briefly present the analytical horizon in which we can read the multiple practices of response to the structural condition of crisis and risk of contemporary societies, the cases we deal with and the way in which they represent interesting examples of reactivation of sociality through forms of creativity and resilience.
