Abstract
The essay offers a wide reflection on the processes of change provoked by the immigration flows; which have impacts on all the spheres of citiziens' life. These changes affect the way of public and private social relations in the daily life of a small community. The caso of Adro (a small village near Brescia, where a wide range of social rights have been restricted to immigrants) is considered an example for inducting a new vision of solidarity links in a globalized society.
