Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The text comments on the message on the prison condition sent to the Chambers by the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano on 8 October 2013. The reasons why this Message solicits substantial provisions for reform of the penal sanctioning system are examined in depth. It reflects, in particular, the need for an evolution of the sentence from "consideration" to "project", based on an analysis related to the notion of justice and the modalities that should characterize the prevention of crimes.
