Abstract
For the Synod of Bishops in October 2018 Pope Francis has chosen the theme
“Young people, Faith and Vocational Discernment”. The theme proposes the
educational purpose to accompany young people along their existential journey
towards maturity so that, through a process of discernment, they can discover
their life plan and make it by opening themselves to an encounter with
God and with others, becoming active part within the Church and society.
Starting from these suggestions the contribution deals a pedagogical reflection
on the following themes: the young people as protagonist and their condition
in an era of crisis, in view of outlining the main lines for a vocational
accompaniment.
