Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay invites reflection on the centrality of the relationship between research and practice; while not wanting and being able to overlap the approaches of pure research and applied research, which maintain different priorities and characteristics, it is necessary to enhance the spaces of integration and mutual enrichment, unfortunately not yet sufficiently validated or paths with methodological rigor. According to the author, a further critical aspect of educational research is represented by the scarce attention paid to research communication. The analysis of these problematic elements highlights the need to rethink on the part of educational research, according to two innovative lines identified by the Author: firstly, attention to research as an intrinsic resource to educational professionalism; secondly, the development of skills and practices to support a serious and fruitful interdisciplinary confrontation.
