Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] One of the main features of the new service economy is network production, which puts producer and user in a position to build together the material and semantic context in which the consumption experience takes place. In this process, hard (tangible) elements are superimposed and integrated with soft (intangible) elements, overcoming the traditional dichotomy between goods and services. Furthermore, the technology makes it possible to access new services, customize them and replicate their supply, in order to reduce the unit cost of the service provided, increasing its overall value. Telemedicine services are particularly significant in this field in which thanks to technology (hard and soft) it is possible to transfer biomedical parameters from the patient's home to the doctor's office, and to tele-health, in which the technology allows the sharing of data and information among health organizations.
