Abstract

Each issue of the new Series "Eric Voegelin Studies: Yearbook" (VSY by Brill|Fink) consists of: 1. a monothematic section, 2. a mixed one, and 3. Selected Book Reviews. The monothematic part of this first issue is devoted to Voegelin's famous book "The New Science of Politics", published 1952 as the output of the Walgreen Lessons, held by him in Chicago a year before under the title "Truth and Representation". The aim of the essays here collected is to throw new light on the hitherto neglected philosophical and historical dimension of the "New Science". They originate from an international conference held in Munich 2019 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the German edition of the book.
