Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The presentation of the palaeographic and archival contribution of Renato Piattoli (1906-1974) in the timely re-edition of Dante's Diplomatic Code (CDD), with the various updates that lasted until the end of its existence, became the occasion to highlight the birth of the historical method for the philological studies and its declination by Piattoli matured through the lesson of his masters, from Luigi Schiaparelli to Michele Barbi, of whom he was a regular collaborator
