Abstract

The chapter deals with the appearance, the development, and the management of religious-based conflicts in multi-cultural schools: after a review of the international and Italian research on this topic in the sociological field, I present some research results concerning the emerging conflicts in multi-cultural schools in Northern Italy, comparing the points of view of adults (teachers, parents) and students involved in 14 focus groups.
