[Autom. eng. transl.] The report of Paul Otlet for the International Institute of Agriculture of Rome, the first of two works on the management of documentation and specialized agricultural information, was drafted in 1911 at the explicit request of the Institute's management group. In the Rapport we find all the key elements of Otlet's thought, from the concept of dossier to the standardization of bibliographic records and the need to define uniform rules and procedures for document management. The transmission of the Secretary General of the time, Pasquale Jannaccone, and the Report of the Librarian of the Institute are attached to the original text, in the version kept at the Library of FAO that the Institute took the place of.
