Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to present two case studies illustrating the possible relatedness between alexithymia (Sifneos, 1973) and the ERAAwC Model of Relational Competence Theory (L'Abate, 1983)to verify whether the five components of the ERAAwC model can help explain the alexithymia construct in the clinical context.
