Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The study illustrates the methods of settlement of the Franciscan Reformations in the territory of southern Puglia in the mid-seventeenth century. It emerges from the visit reports that the friars slowly replaced the cult for their brothers with charismatic abilities, with the devotion to Antonio da Padova, who was also a charismatic, but who had given the example of study in the universities. The Tafuro spread the cult of Antonio as a great miracle worker throughout the South.
