Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] What does the 20th century Italy look like? The contributions of the interdisciplinary volume analyze modern knowledge constructions in literature, language and film and give new impulses to German-Italian dialogue. On the one hand, Italy in the literary modern age - in novels, poems, travelogues, letters - also means myth and myth destruction. Which 'knowledge' is transferred or first generated? On the other hand, the tourism language models Italy as the Otherworld. And finally, German film cameras show Italy as a place of senescence, but also as a land of labor migration and crime. Do they typify land and people - or do they subvert the stereotypical Italy 'knowledge', subversively?
