Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Critical review of the Italian translation of a successful book, the work of a Swedish journalist, writer and entomologist who treats, with broad autobiographical notes, of his interest in the Diptera Sirfidi and his passion for collecting them on an island in Sweden. The book also extensively mentions the Swedish entomologist R. Malaise, creator of a very useful trap for the capture of flying insects.
