Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The valuable volume of Marta De Angelis, a young palliativist doctor, and Paolo Trenta, one of the most active sociologists who promote clinical narrative practice in Italy, is dedicated to the fruitful integration between Narrative Medicine and Palliative Care. “Rightly. Narrative medicine in end-of-life care ”, it should be noted that the narratives of the sick people and their family members, structured and managed methodically by the team members, are the fundamental elements to generate alternatives that certainly cannot change the outcome but which will at least contribute to making the last period more human, warm, personal: Narrative Medicine and Palliative Care can lead together to know and implement actions for a dignified end, to share a right path for that single person and for his loved ones, to prepare a "tailor-made death".
