Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The dramatic collective and existential experience, connected to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, deeply questions the sensitivity of each one, generating an unexpected perception of fragility and posing complex ethical, social and legal dilemmas. This huge crisis can and must be made 'good use', through the renewed awareness of the need for the rules, on whose observance or transgression the very existence of people may depend, be based at every level on what is truly essential. for humans. This listening to the 'voice of life', which should inspire the entire legal system, educates literature, which teaches us to counter the illusion of being able to appease fear through the search for scapegoats and to draw elements of positivity.
On these premises, the valuable contributions collected in the volume "The rules and life. Of the good use of a crisis, between literature and law", born from the expectation and hope of the "Federico Stella" High School on Criminal Justice present the painful problem of the pandemic to the country and the academic community, with the aim of creating suitable conditions for promoting the wealth of intelligence and commitment of the new generations.
