Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The book focuses on the centrality of body dynamics in child development. Psychoanalysis, starting from Freud, recognizes the role of corporality in the construction of the psychic world. Neuroscience reinforces this research, showing the inseparability between mind and body and the interconnection between action and perception. In this perspective, the intent of the book is to explore new areas of research in the field of childhood and neurobiology and take into consideration the clinical implications of the intertwining of the body, preverbal and extraverbal communication. The volume allows us to grasp the intentionality of human behavior that manifests itself from fetal life and how the ability of the newborn to understand the behavior of others is connected with the motor skills gained.
